Programs Associate

Key responsibilities

Post-Investment Monitoring:

  • Conduct regular visits to startups and SMEs in GEN-Ghana and its partners’ investment portfolios.
  • Collect and analyze data on business performance, financial and operational health, and impact.
  • Prepare and submit detailed quarterly reports to management and partners.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Assist in the design and delivery of training programs for young entrepreneurs.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other capacity-building events.
  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and support to entrepreneurs as needed.

Proposal Writing and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with the programs team to identify funding opportunities.
  • Contribute to the writing and submission of grant proposals and funding applications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all program activities and outcomes.

Program Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of various GEN-Ghana programs and events.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support program development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Programs Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, or any relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in programs, data collection, and report writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in popular business software suites.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with young entrepreneurs.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices.
  • Familiarity with some data analysis software or tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for entrepreneurship and economic development.
